We built TalkingTree.app because legal services and legal technology are still priced for companies with large budgets. For a startup or small business, $300 an hour for an attorney can be considered a good deal. Many legal AI platforms cost $700+ per month, and some are only available through annual contracts. We’re a group of Fortune 500 attorneys and engineers, and we built TalkingTree.app for startups, small businesses, and nonprofits that don’t have those budgets. The product is built around real legal work and workflows, rather than functioning as an out-of-the-box general-purpose LLM trained on broad internet data. TalkingTree.app is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and runs on membership. Plans start at $20/month, members can pay month to month with no annual commitment, and select membership tiers are tax-deductible. We price the product based on what it costs us to provide it, without adding margin for investors or the cost of an enterprise sales organization.
