This app saved my life by helping me accelerate tab management
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built TabTar because bookmarks often tell me where a page was, but not why I saved it or what I was doing when I found it. Clipboard snippets are even easier to lose.
TabTar turns two keyboard shortcuts into a lightweight memory layer for browser work:
⌘K reviews and saves the current Chrome page context.
⌘L searches saved Contexts and local Clipboard history.
Optional organization uses an OpenAI-compatible endpoint you provide.
Saved Contexts and Clipboard history are stored locally. When you explicitly start AI organization, only limited Context metadata is sent to your configured endpoint; Clipboard content is excluded.
TabTar is available for macOS with a 7-day free trial and a $5 one-time license. Windows is planned but is not available yet.
I’d especially appreciate feedback on capture accuracy, retrieval speed, and whether TabTar helps you recover useful context faster.
