I built Suppertime after one too many trips where I'd land in a new city, look around, and realize I had nowhere to be and no one to be there with. The usual advice — hostel bars, Facebook groups, swiping apps — all felt like work. You spend the whole night matching and messaging instead of actually meeting anyone.

So I flipped it. Instead of connecting you to people and hoping a plan happens, Suppertime connects you to plans and lets the people happen naturally. Open the app anywhere and you see a live map of what's going on nearby — a hike this morning, coffee at noon, drinks tonight. Tap one, you're in the group chat, then you just show up. The hardest part was resisting every instinct to add profiles, likes, and DMs. Early versions had all of it. It turns out the magic only showed up once I removed things — no swiping, no matching, no cold messages. Just plans and real faces.
