Sum and Veil - The wedding finance app couples actually stick with

by
Wedding vendors never ask for one payment. There's a deposit to hold the date, an installment halfway through, and the final balance weeks before the wedding. Do that across eight vendors, and you've got 20+ payment deadlines living in a spreadsheet nobody trusts. Every other tool ignores this problem. Sum and Veil manages your full vendor payment lifecycle, one-time expenses, and recurring costs in one place.

Hi everyone, I'm Gainor, one of the founders of Sum and Veil. We started building this after watching people we knew go through the same thing: a wedding spreadsheet that started organized, became a shared mess, and eventually led to a missed payment or a stressful conversation between partners about money. The core problem is that wedding payments are not one-time purchases. Vendors almost always split payments across multiple dates, and the gap between a deposit and a final balance can be 12 to 18 months. When you multiply that across every vendor, the number of financial moving parts gets overwhelming fast. No general finance app handles this. No wedding planning app handles this either. So we built Sum and Veil to do exactly that: manage the full payment lifecycle for every vendor, track one-time and recurring expenses, and give couples a clear view of their cash flow over the full planning period. Wedding planners also get their own view to manage multiple clients in one place. Would love to hear from anyone who's been through this, and happy to answer any questions about what we built and why.
