Hey PH π
I'm Shaheer, solo dev behind Subkept.
No big backstory I just wanted to track my own subscriptions without handing over my bank login. But the two things I actually cared about, none of the existing trackers did well:
Catching price hikes before they charge me.
Streaming services quietly bump prices every few months and you only notice on the statement.
Subkept flags it before the renewal hits.
Showing me when switching to yearly actually saves money.
Most apps charge ~20% less annually, but you have to do the math yourself for every service.
Subkept shows the savings automatically and tells you which ones are worth switching.
On top of that, the basics: renewal reminders, free trial alerts before they convert, and a clear monthly spend view.
What I'm working on next I get that manually adding subscriptions is friction, so I'm building two ways to skip it without ever touching your bank:
Read-only email scanning that picks up "subscription," "charged," "renewal" type emails and suggests what to add.
Statement upload (CSV or PDF) where you drop in a month or a year of bank statements, and Subkept pulls out the recurring charges and recommends what to track.
You stay in control Subkept just suggests, you decide what gets added.
A few things I stuck to while building it:
No bank connections. You add what you want tracked, nothing more.
No dark patterns. One-click cancel on Subkept itself, no guilt-trip flows.
Quiet by default. Pings you when it matters, otherwise stays out of the way.
Still early, so feedback on onboarding, pricing, or anything that feels off would mean a lot.
