I watched that gap cost organisations real money, repeatedly. The existing tools weren't solving it. Grades measure knowledge. CVs measure history. Assessments measure personality. None of them measure judgment under pressure, and nobody had ever built a credential for it. So that became the question: what would it look like to actually credential decision quality? The answer took longer than expected. We built a deterministic simulation engine that tracks 54 variables per round, enforces real accounting constraints, and scores a Decision Quality Score independently of our AI layer. We built Socrates, an AI witness that holds a student's full arc across 8 quarters and names growth back with evidence. We built the Socratic Record, a portable proof artefact designed for LinkedIn, portfolios, and interviews. We also removed a fully-built reputation and badges system because it contradicted the credential's authority. That cost us sprint cycles. We made the call anyway.
