I built this because I was doing something ridiculous. I'd scan my kids' homework, paste it into ChatGPT, ask it to generate flashcards in a specific CSV format, feed that into a C# console app that generated a PDF, print it out, and then sit there cutting flashcards with scissors. At some point I thought — there has to be a better way. So I built Studieassistenten (Study Assistant). It started as just interactive flashcards to replace my hacky workflow. But once my family started using it, the needs kept growing — practice tests, summaries, vocabulary, math tests. Each feature came from a real need rather than a roadmap. It's built with Blazor and ASP.NET Core, uses Claude for AI generation, and runs OCR on uploaded photos and documents so students (or their parents) can turn any material into study tools in moments.
