What's one feature that would make you actually stick with a screen-time app?

by

I've tried a lot of screen-time tools over the years.

Most of them worked for a day or two before I either ignored the reminders or disabled the restrictions altogether.

While building Stroll, I kept coming back to one question:

What would make someone actually stick with healthier phone habits for months, not just a week?

For me, replacing punishment with a reward (earning screen time through movement) felt like a better approach.

But I'm curious about everyone else.

If you've used screen-time or digital wellbeing apps before:

  • What made you stop using them?

  • What's one feature that would genuinely make you stick with one long-term?

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Many of the improvements I'm working on come directly from conversations like these.
