Apple is realizing how important it is to be embedded into the developer ecosystem in *new* verticals. Although they have shown they can impress developers with their own internal systems, payments takes a lot of strength, and Stripe is clearly leading the way. Stripe knows developers.
I do wonder what will happen as Apple Pay becomes more entrenched...

Stripe should look into coming out with a stand alone app for personal use and a mobile payment terminal for small brick and mortar businesses. Complete with Apple Pay and Bitcoin processing built in.
By adding adding Apple Pay, Bitcoin, and a mobile payment terminal for small businesses they become the merchant service provider for real world digital transactions that take place on the sales floor and not at the sales counter.
I can't wait to use incorporate Stripe/ Apple Pay into something soon.
