Hey Product Hunt, we built StatWP to make WordPress plugin and theme research easier for building and growth assistance better after launching.

If you’ve ever launched a WordPress plugin, you probably know the feeling: you spend weeks building, polishing, and shipping… and then find yourself checking WordPress.org stats to see if anyone is actually using it.

That was one of the reasons we built StatWP.

We wanted a better way to understand what’s happening after a launch - not just downloads, but growth, estimated active installs, rankings, ratings, and how your plugin compares with others in the same space.

We’re building StatWP for plugin and theme developers who want to spend less time piecing together numbers and more time figuring out what to do next.

The goal is to make StatWP something you return to regularly - not just a tool for checking a plugin once.

I originally started building StatWP because I kept running into the same frustrating question:

“What’s actually happening with this WordPress plugin?”

The data was there installs, ratings, reviews, competitors, trends but getting a clear picture meant jumping between different pages, spreadsheets, and a lot of manual digging.

And as a maker, I didn’t want another dashboard full of numbers.

I wanted answers.

Is this plugin gaining momentum?
Why did its growth change?
What are users unhappy about?
Who are the real competitors?
Is this niche worth building for?

That little frustration turned into StatWP. 😅

We’re still early, and honestly, I’m much more interested in learning from other makers than pretending we’ve figured everything out.
