stance - One question a day. The whole world answers.

by•
stance asks the whole world the same yes/no question every day. Answer anonymously, with no account and no email, then watch everyone's answers fill a live world map. 31 languages. Questions we assume everyone agrees on. They rarely do.

Hi Product Hunt, this is the creator of stance. Every day at midnight UTC, stance asks one yes/no question, the same one to everyone. You answer anonymously with no account, no email, and nothing that ties the answer to you. Then you see how the world answered, on a live map that fills in as people vote. The questions are the ones we ignore answering everyday: "Is the world getting better?", "Do you trust the news?", "Is democracy failing ordinary people?". Ask the whole world and it rarely agrees, and where it disagrees is the interesting part. A few things I cared about: - Anonymous by design: no sign-up, no ads, no trackers. Location stays coarse unless you choose to share it. - 31 languages. Each day's question is translated, then read back into English by a separate check, so a "yes" means the same thing everywhere. - Free. The question changes at midnight UTC. I'd love to hear what you think, and what question you'd ask the world.
