Do you still upload contracts and photos to converter sites?

by

Hey Product Hunt - Jayant here.

I kept dropping invoices, IDs, and photos into “free converter” sites and hoping they deleted the file. Most of them don’t say where it goes.

So I built StackTools: PDF and image tools that run in your browser. The file never leaves the tab. No account. No upload API.

It’s live today, before the Product Hunt launch:

• StackPDF - 34 tools: merge, split, compress, convert, OCR, redact, sign, encrypt

• StackImage - 18 tools: compress, HEIC, crop, remove background, on-device upscale

Hub:

I’m honest about limits. Browser PDF libraries are not Acrobat. Redact/flatten become image-only. Conversions are best-effort. I’d rather say that on the page than pretend we’re Adobe.

I want this forum to be useful before launch day. If you try a tool (or you’ve been burned by an upload site), I’d love your take on:

1. Which tool would you actually open this week?

2. What’s a deal-breaker vs a cloud suite - speed, quality, missing tool, something else?

3. What should we build next: more PDF, more image, docs, or something else entirely?

If you want a ping when we launch here, follow the StackTools product page.

Happy to answer anything about how the on-device engines work.
