Spin is a social music app built around one shared daily ritual: everyone posts one song per day, inside a short daily window. Your friends' feed stays locked until you've shared your own pick — post first, then discover. No algorithm, no endless scroll, no autoplay: just covers, captions, comments, reactions and a one-tap jump to Spotify for the full track. Streaks with earned freezes, a surprise 15-minute bonus window, and monthly recap cards keep the ritual going. Built solo, iOS-first.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Max, and I built Spin solo over the last couple of months. It started with a simple observation: all my music discovery had been outsourced to algorithms — and the songs that actually stuck with me still came from friends going "you HAVE to hear this." So I built the anti-feed. On Spin, everyone shares exactly one song per day, and you can't see what your friends picked until you've posted yours. The posting window is short and fixed, so it becomes a small shared daily moment instead of another bottomless timeline — think of it as a daily ritual, not a platform to get lost in. A few deliberate choices: there's no in-app playback at all — Spin shows the cover and metadata, and the full track opens in Spotify with one tap. Miss a day and your streak only survives if you've earned a freeze (one per 7-day run). And if you miss the main window, a random 15-minute second-chance window per day keeps it forgiving. Tech, for the curious: SwiftUI + Supabase (Postgres with row-level security doing the heavy lifting), one solo dev.
