Hi Product Hunt! πŸ‘‹ Solo developer here.

I built Spendly because I kept abandoning expense trackers β€” manual entry is where good intentions die. So the core flow is: point your camera at a receipt, and AI turns it into a categorized expense. No typing.

Beyond scanning: budgets with progress tracking, recurring bills, visual reports, custom categories, any currency, 12 languages, and it works fully offline (syncs when you're back).

Privacy note: receipt text is recognized on-device β€” your receipts never get uploaded to anyone's server for OCR.

There's a free trial, and I'd genuinely love feedback β€” what would make you actually stick with an expense tracker? I read and answer everything. πŸ™

P.S. If Spendly ends up saving you from manual entry, a quick rating on the App Store or Google Play would mean the world β€” as a solo dev, those reviews are basically my entire marketing department. πŸ™

Snapped a crumpled receipt from my coat pocket and it actually pulled out the right total and category without me correcting anything, that was a nice surprise. The budget view is clean and easy to read at a glance.

Receipt scanning actually works on a crumpled gas receipt which impressed me. Offline mode is a nice touch for travel.

honestly the on-device AI scanning sounds really promising, would love a feature that splits receipts by item category inside one snap so i don't have to manually recategorize mixed grocery and household receipts later. keep it offline and you're golden
