SpecPilot - Turn a chat into specs that keep AI coding on track

by
Vibe coding starts strong but drifts as projects grow. SpecPilot turns a short chat into a complete .specs/ workspace - 12 engineering files that keep Claude, Cursor, or Copilot aligned with your architecture from first prompt to production. No login, runs in your browser.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I shipped SpecPilot as a CLI back in January. It did one thing well: generate a structured .specs/ folder that keeps your AI coding agent aligned with your architecture instead of drifting as the project grows. Then the feedback rolled in - and a pattern jumped out. A lot of the people who'd benefit most didn't want to touch a CLI, or didn't know how. The terminal was the wall between them and specs-first development. So I tore it down. SpecPilot is now a chat. You answer a few questions in your browser, and it scaffolds a complete engineering bundle - requirements, architecture, API, roadmap, threat model, tasks, and more - plus the config and /specpilot-* commands for your tool of choice (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot). No login. Runs fully offline - nothing hits our servers. Your own AI IDE writes the spec content from there. It's spec-driven development without the friction. I'd love your honest take - especially where the chat flow could be sharper. I'm here all day answering everything.
