SpaceMap - See what is eating your Mac's disk on a zoomable map

by•
SpaceMap is a free, open-source disk usage analyzer for macOS. It draws a folder or the whole disk as one nested treemap: folders are frames, files are tiles colored by type. The map fills in while the scan is still running, so you don't have to wait for it to finish. Double-click to zoom into a folder, click a file type to dim everything else, right-click to reveal, rescan or trash. Sizes match du. Native SwiftUI, about 1 MB, no dependencies.

Hi! I made SpaceMap to see where the space on my Mac went, as one map I can walk into. It scans on all cores and the map fills in while the scan is still running. Sizes match du, double-click zooms into a folder, and the sidebar shows the largest files and a breakdown by type. Native Swift/SwiftUI, no dependencies, MIT. The app isn't notarized (no paid developer account), so the first launch needs "Open Anyway" in Privacy & Security. Happy to answer questions.
