I built a free, on-device noise-cancelling mic for macOS, would love your feedback

A few weeks ago my Krisp trial ended and noise cancellation switched off in the middle of a call. I went looking for an open-source alternative on macOS and… there really isn't one. The good open tools (NoiseTorch, EasyEffects) are all Linux-only.

So I built Sotto. It adds a "Sotto Microphone" that you pick in any call app (Zoom, Meet, Teams, Discord, OBS). It cleans your mic with DeepFilterNet3 running entirely on your device, ships its own audio driver so there's no BlackHole/virtual-cable setup, and sends nothing to the cloud — no account, no subscription. It's MIT-licensed. It's an early developer preview, but it works end-to-end and runs at ~4% CPU. I'm launching it here on Product Hunt soon and would genuinely love feedback before and during.

A question for this community: how do you currently deal with background noise on calls, a paid app, a fancy mic, a quiet room, or do you just live with it? And for the makers here: what's worked for you launching an open-source tool on PH?
