Hey Product Hunt ๐Ÿ‘‹ Mo here, the solo maker behind Soluna. I launched it here a couple of weeks ago as a quiet menu-bar calendar that shows Gregorian and Hijri side by side, and the response pushed me to keep building. This update got big enough that I wanted to come back and share it. The heart of this release is the world clocks. They started as a plain "what time is it there" list and turned into something more personal: ๐ŸŒ Add real cities by name (Jeddah, Boston, San Francisco, about 190 places), then rename a clock after the person it's for. Mine says "Ahmed," not "Dubai." ๐ŸŸข Give each clock its own Good hours, and a small green dot (or a day line) tells you at a glance when it's a good time to reach them. Lovely if you have people you care about in another time zone. ๐Ÿ“ž Pick a few clocks into a shared good time group, and the day slider highlights the moments that work for everyone. For a meeting, or a family call across three countries. Also new: countdowns to your own occasions, prayer times that now follow the city you set instead of your Mac's clock, a live date converter, and a cleaner design throughout. Still no accounts, no ads, no tracking. Everything stays on your device, it's fully native, and it sips power. I build these on my own, so watching people actually use them makes my week. I'd genuinely love your honest feedback, and I'm around all day to answer anything. ๐ŸŒ™

been using it for a week and really enjoy the moon phase view in the menu bar. one thing that would make it perfect for me: a small notification or gentle chime a few minutes before each prayer, since i already have it open all day anyway. keeps everything in one place instead of needing a separate app for that.

ย Thank you so much for the kind words, and glad you're enjoying the moon phase view! Great news: what you're describing is actually already available in Soluna. Version 1.1 introduced full prayer times support with optional reminders before each prayer, a choice of adhan recordings, and a live countdown to the next one. You can also pick your preferred calculation method and fine-tune timings to match your local mosque. It should all be right there in the app's settings. Let me know if you have any trouble finding it!

Finally a calendar that just sits in my menu bar and does its job. The prayer time countdowns are a really thoughtful touch and the Hijri dates right next to Gregorian saves me from flipping between apps.

ย Thank you, really glad it fits naturally into your workflow! That was exactly the goal: keep everything you need in one quiet spot in the menu bar without getting in the way. Appreciate you taking the time to share this.

the hijri dates sitting right next to gregorian is honestly so handy, didn't realize how much i needed that. menu bar placement is perfect, super clean.

ย Thank you! Having both calendars side by side without extra clicks was one of the first things I wanted to get right. Glad it's making a difference for you!

honestly this looks really solid for anyone juggling both calendars. one thing i'd love is the ability to set custom reminders a few days before hijri occasions like ramadan or eid, so you don't have to keep checking manually. would make it feel even more like a personal assistant than just a calendar.

ย Thank you, glad it's working well for you! If I'm reading your suggestion right, you'd like to set a reminder a few days ahead of occasions like Ramadan or Eid, whether they're built-in or ones you've added yourself. That's a great idea and a straightforward one to implement. Added to the list!

This looks gorgeous and the one-time purchase is a breath of fresh air. One thing I'd love: let me set custom widgets for different menu bar views, like just moon phase or just prayer times, so I can declutter when I only need one thing at a glance.

ย Thank you, and really appreciate the support for one-time pricing! Great suggestion on customizable menu bar views. That's going on the roadmap. In the meantime, the next update is bringing the ability to pair two calendar widgets together, along with a bunch of new calendar systems including Chinese, Hebrew, and more. Hopefully that gets you closer to what you're looking for!
