What should an AI social media team automate, and what should stay human?
Most social media tools help with one part of the job: captions, design or scheduling.
We have been building SocialCTL around the full workflow: understand the brand, plan the month, create reels, carousels and static posts, route the content through review, and then publish it to connected channels.
The hardest product decision has not been what AI can do. It has been what AI should be allowed to do without human approval.
Our current approach is:
AI can research the brand, propose a strategy, build the content calendar and generate the content.
The user can edit the brand facts, voice, visual rules and every planned post.
Final assets can go through review before publishing, while full autopilot remains an optional choice.
We launch on October 20, and I would value honest product feedback before then.
For founders, marketers and agency operators: which part of this workflow would you trust to run automatically, and which part should always require a human decision?
Specific examples would help us improve the product.
