I've done ~400 snake rescues in Bangalore. The most dangerous part of every encounter isn't the snake - it's the few minutes before anyone knows what species they're dealing with. People photograph the snake. Then they guess, panic, or send a blurry image to a WhatsApp group at 11pm hoping someone's awake. I looked for a Merlin-for-birds equivalent for snakes. It didn't exist. So I built it. Snake (A)ID uses AI to identify any snake from a single photo - species, venom status, what to do next. It's free, needs no account, and works for any snake anywhere in the world.
