Skype taking on Intercom, Zendesk, and other support tools with this move. When will Slack do the same? 🤔 There are already a few Slack-integrated apps to embed a channel into a site.
to be honest, I don't know why they haven't already :(
yeah Slack's priorities are weird to me
Most founders I know use Intercom. We need more innovation in this space.
I reckon it'll only be a matter of time before we see this feature for Messenger, Slack, and other popular messaging services. It'll be the new stories!
innovation like?
Awesome! Great job!
congrats !!!
Consider this + the Microsoft Bot Framework and you can see why Skype has become so attractive to developers.
Great stuff, could be useful for my livecoding sessions
Super cool idea!
Dang, this would be great if it didn't make users sign in before chatting, if the recipient is a user instead of a bot.
we thought so too and are working on something in that direction :)
This currently a limitation because we don't want users to be spammed.
Why don't you let the user decide on this? Intercom, Drift, and so on, they all think there are other solutions than forcing a potential customer to login. Just saying- i would prefer using Skype (which I use daily) instead of another messaging app.
That's a very good point and I'll follow-up on this. Mind that this is our 1st version and feedback like this will keep improving our products! Thanks
When will we have video chat?
follow me and I'll keep you posted ;-)
We have video calling support now. Directly from your website. No download required ;-)
great! I look forward to testing it out. Thank you for the note!
Great job!
good project
