I built Skill Gauge AI after seeing how broken hiring and upskilling interviews are for both founders and candidates. Traditional interviews are slow, subjective, and depend too much on who is asking the questions, not on what the candidate can actually do in real scenarios. Skill Gauge AI uses an AI interviewer to run structured, real-time video interviews, probe technical depth, and then translate those conversations into clear, data-backed insights on skills, role fit, and coaching opportunities. Instead of relying on gut feeling or noisy online assessments, teams get consistent evaluation rubrics, comparable scores, and replayable interviews they can trust for hiring and internal promotions. My approach was to blend calibrated question banks, LLM-based analysis, and domain-specific scoring so that the platform feels like talking to a thoughtful expert, not a rigid quiz engine. The product is still evolving, but the goal is simple: make evaluating skills as precise, fair, and fast as possible so teams can bet confidently on the right people.
