Hey Product Hunt 👋

I'm Yash, a backend developer from India. I built ShortList during my own job search after losing track of 40+ applications across LinkedIn, Naukri, Greenhouse and company portals. One portal moved me to "Shortlisted" and I only found out because I happened to log in.

ShortList is a job tracker that maintains itself:

→ Forward job emails with one Gmail filter, and statuses update automatically. Confirmation emails even create the application for you.

→ Save any job in one click with the Chrome extension, including the full JD, because postings disappear right before interviews.

→ Share jobs from the LinkedIn or Naukri app on your phone.

→ It remembers what you told each company: CTC, notice period, years of experience.

→ Follow-up reminders, plus optional AI interview prep using your own API key.

Every automatic change appears on a timeline with its source, and anything uncertain waits for your review. Nothing changes behind your back, and everything can be undone.

It's free, open source (AGPL-3.0) and self-hostable, with first-class support for Indian job seekers (LPA, notice period, Naukri).
