One thing that would make this even more useful for me would be the ability to pin a comment or announcement to the top of the event page, like a "what to bring" note or last minute update, so it doesn't get lost in the chat.

 Hey Kazim, thanks for your comment. It does indeed have that built in. Shindig has a FAQs section and a Useful links section, to help the event members find the info they need for an event easily.

Love that no app download is needed, that's a lifesaver for getting everyone on board. One thing I'd really appreciate is a quick RSVP reminder the day before the event, maybe a simple email or text nudge, since polls and links are great but people still forget the date they picked.

Shindig provides email and push notifications. So if you set a date or choice poll and set an end date for the poll. Any users who hasn't responded will receive a reminder 24hrs before.
