Hi Product Hunt, I'm Colin, the solo developer behind Serin. I originally built this to detect hidden recording devices so we can be aware of our surroundings. During that time I got married and on my honeymoon we stayed at a few different hotels and I wanted to be sure I had privacy in those rooms. Serin answers one question: what around me is watching me? Run a 60-second sweep of a room, or leave it running to catch smart glasses and trackers as you go. It checks three things: - Bluetooth: smart glasses (Ray-Ban Meta, Snap Spectacles, Echo Frames) when they're powered on, trackers (Tile, SmartTag, Airtags), and AI wearables. - Wi-Fi: cameras on the network you're connected to (RTSP, ONVIF, Hikvision, Dahua, Wyze, Arlo, Nest, Ring and more). - Infrared: the phone camera reveals the IR glow of hidden lenses in a dark room (Pro). After you sweep your room you get a pass/fail report you can screenshot or export as a PDF. Honest limits: no phone app can promise a room is clean. A camera that isn't on the network, isn't broadcasting and has no IR LEDs won't show up. Serin is a fast first check, not a guarantee. iOS also hides Apple's tracker data from third-party apps, so AirTag-class trackers are flagged by behavior (an anonymous device that stays near you 10+ minutes), not by name (Android does not do this). Privacy: all scanning happens on your phone. No account, no location tracking. It's free with ads. Pro is $5.99 once, no subscription. I'd love to hear which devices you want it to catch next, and I'm here all day for questions.
