Sentence Monster - Learn vocabulary by writing sentences, not flipping cards

by
Most vocabulary apps stop at recognition. You see a word, tap the right meaning, move on — and then freeze the moment you actually have to use it. Sentence Monster makes you write. Each session gives you short sentence prompts picked from your own learning history, checks what you wrote, and brings back the words you missed, half-remembered, or still can't use confidently. The review schedule is built from your actual failures, not a fixed interval. 15 languages. Free to start.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built this because of a problem I had myself. I'd studied English for years and knew thousands of words — but every time I sat down to write, the same 200 words came out. The rest were somewhere in my head, just not reachable. The reason, I think, is that almost everything I used tested recognition. A flashcard shows you a word and asks if you know it. You say yes. You're never asked to prove it. Sentence Monster flips that. You get a short sentence to write using a target word, and feedback on what you actually produced. Words you miss or use awkwardly come back later — the schedule comes from your failures, not from a fixed interval. 15 languages, free to try. The sentence-picking algorithm is the part I'd most like feedback on: if you try it, I'd love to know whether the sentences felt too easy, too hard, or just off. Thanks for taking a look 🙏
