Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Senior Check-In because I know what it feels like to worry about your mum when you are living far way. The options felt binary: move them into a facility, or just... worry constantly. Neither felt right.
So we built a third option.
Here's how it works:
Every day at a time the family sets, Senior Check-In calls your parent for a natural conversation — how they're feeling, how they slept, what they've been up to. No scripts. No robotic menus. Just a warm, friendly voice checking in. Afterwards, the family gets a short email summary. Mood, highlights, anything that stood out. If your parent doesn't answer after a few attempts, we alert you immediately.
What we've learned building this:
The hardest thing wasn't the technology — it was getting the tone right. Seniors are sharp. They know when something feels off. The call had to feel like a genuine conversation, not a wellness audit. We spent a lot of time getting that right.
We also learned that the real user isn't the senior — it's the adult child who carries the mental load of a parent living alone. The product is designed around their anxiety, not a feature checklist.
Where we are today:
Phase 0 is live — daily calls, morning email summaries, escalation alerts, a family portal to view history and manage settings. 7-day free trial, then a simple monthly plan.
What we'd love feedback on:
- Does the framing resonate if you have aging parents?
- What would make you trust a product like this enough to give it your parent's phone number?
- Anything in the onboarding that gives you pause?
Happy to answer anything. Thanks for taking a look. 🙏
