Your bookmarks remember what you saved. What about why you saved it?

I’ve been building something around a small problem that turned out to be much bigger than I expected.

Think about your bookmarks.

You save a tutorial because it finally made something click.

You save a GitHub repo because it solved a problem you were working on.

You save an article because you wanted to understand a concept better.

But your bookmark usually remembers just one thing:

the link.

It doesn't remember:

“I saved this because I was learning Spring Boot caching.”

Or:

“This was the example that finally helped me understand JWT.”

That context lives in your head — and eventually disappears.

That’s the idea behind MemShift.

Instead of treating everything you save as just another URL, we're exploring what happens when your internet history can become a memory of what you were learning, researching, and discovering.

So you don't have to perfectly organize the internet.

You can simply find things through the context you remember.

We're building this as a Chrome extension and recently opened it up to early users.

I'd genuinely love to know:

If your browser could remember the context behind everything you saved, what would you want to be able to ask it?

For example:

“Show me that resource I saved when I was learning about caching.”

What would your question be?
