Why I'm Building ReadRiff Instead of Another Content Platform
Like many people, I spend hours online every week reading about AI, startups, business, psychology, and technology.
Yet I kept running into the same problem:
There has never been more content available, but it has never felt harder to find something genuinely worth reading.
Every platform rewards more content, faster publishing, and more clicks. As a reader, I found myself opening dozens of tabs, saving articles I'd never return to, and scrolling through endless recommendations hoping to discover one insightful piece.
That experience led me to ask a simple question:
What if a publication focused on publishing fewer but genuinely better articles?
That's why I started building ReadRiff.
The goal isn't to compete with Medium, Substack, or traditional news outlets. Instead, I want to build an independent publication where quality matters more than quantity.
ReadRiff focuses on topics like:
Artificial Intelligence
Technology
Business & Finance
Economics
Psychology
Philosophy
Science
Productivity
Entrepreneurship
Lifelong Learning
Every article should leave readers feeling that their time was well spent.
What We've Been Building
Over the past few weeks, I've redesigned the website, refined the messaging, improved the reading experience, and continued gathering feedback from communities like Indie Hackers and Product Hunt.
Each conversation has helped shape the direction of the product more than I expected.
Where I Need Feedback
I'd really value your thoughts on a few questions:
Would you use a publication like this?
What makes you return to a publication regularly?
What makes you trust one publication over another?
What would convince you to contribute an article?
Looking for Contributors
If you enjoy writing about any of the topics above, I'd also love to hear from you. I'm looking for thoughtful contributors who enjoy explaining ideas clearly and helping others learn.

Whether you have feedback on the idea, the website, or the overall direction, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing it. Early conversations have already influenced several changes, and I'm sure there's still plenty I haven't considered.
Thanks for reading; I look forward to your thoughts!
