What salary question should I tackle next?
I've been building SalaryLabs, a free toolkit for US workers and job seekers who want to make more sense of their pay.
The idea started pretty simply: salary sounds straightforward until you actually have to use the number.
$80K a year sounds great, but what does that look like after taxes? What's the hourly equivalent? How much would overtime add? And if you get another job offer, how do you actually compare the two?
I kept running into these questions and realized there were a lot of separate tools for each one, but not much that tied them together.
So I started building SalaryLabs.
Right now, it has free salary calculators, compensation tools, and 2026 tax and salary guides. No signup, no paywall for the core tools.
I'm launching it on Product Hunt, but I'm also trying to figure out what to build next.
So I'm curious:
What's a salary or compensation question you wish had a much easier answer?
Maybe it's something you always end up calculating in a spreadsheet, something you search for every time you get a new job offer, or just a question you've never found a good tool for.

I'd especially love to hear the weird or surprisingly complicated ones.
That's usually where the interesting products start.
