A few hours into launching SalaryLabs on Product Hunt, I ve been thinking about something slightly different:

I've been building SalaryLabs, a free toolkit for US workers and job seekers who want to make more sense of their pay.

The idea started pretty simply: salary sounds straightforward until you actually have to use the number.

$80K a year sounds great, but what does that look like after taxes? What's the hourly equivalent? How much would overtime add? And if you get another job offer, how do you actually compare the two?
