What's a small design detail on a waitlist/landing page that made you trust a product more?

I've been looking at a lot of waitlist pages lately - some are just an email box and a headline, others go all-in with counters, referral mechanics, social proof, the works.

Curious what this community thinks: does a more "designed" waitlist page actually convert better, or does a dead-simple one do just as well? Anyone here A/B tested this or has a strong opinion either way?

Side note on why I'm asking - I ended up building Waitlist Gallery, a place to browse real, live waitlist pages since I couldn't find good reference examples while designing my own. Still early, trying to grow the collection past 100 pages.

If you've got one live (or a favorite you've seen elsewhere), would genuinely love to hear about it in the comments - always interested in seeing what's working for other builders.
