We launched ProveIt yesterday. Are technical interviews testing the wrong thing?
We launched ProveIt yesterday, September 1.
We’ve been working on a problem that kept bothering us about technical hiring.
A resume tells you where someone has worked. An interview tells you how well they answer questions. A coding test tells you how they perform on a coding test.
But none of those necessarily show how someone will actually work.
So we built ProveIt around a simple idea: give candidates realistic, role-specific work and let them prove what they can do.
For employers, that means getting better evidence before making a hiring decision. For candidates, it means having a chance to show what they can actually do instead of being judged primarily on a resume.
We just launched, so we’d genuinely love for the Product Hunt community to test the product and tell us what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d change.

And for anyone who hires technical talent: what part of the hiring process gives you the least reliable signal today?
Resumes? Technical interviews? Take-home assignments? Something else?
