We Built an AI That Reads a Floor Plan Image and Generates a Photorealistic 3D Room in Minutes

by

Hi Product Hunt,

I am Hemanth, co-founder of VirtualSpaces. We are two engineers who built something for an industry we did not come from, because the problem was real and the existing tools were genuinely inadequate.

The problem: converting a 2D floor plan into something a non-specialist can actually understand has always required expensive, slow, specialist help. Render studios. CAD operators. Weeks of turnaround. For large developers, a manageable line item. For small interior design firms, individual architects, and real estate agencies, often just not done.

What we built: AI that reads a raw image of a floor plan, understands the spatial structure, and generates a photorealistic furnished render, in minutes, without CAD input or specialist intervention. What used to take a render studio two to three weeks now happens in the same session.

Our two products:

·       Foursite: converts a 2D floor plan or architectural blueprint into a fully furnished, photorealistic 3D render. Designed for interior designers, architects, and residential developers who need to convert floor plans to 3D without outsourcing.

·       Remodroom: takes a single room photo and generates a photorealistic redesign. Upload a photo, choose a style direction, see the space transformed. Built for renovation planning, real estate staging, and client approvals.

Both work from images. No CAD file required. No design software learning curve. The AI reads the image.

Who is using this:

·       Interior designers showing clients finished rooms before any build begins

·       Residential developers producing AI virtual staging for pre-sales collateral

·       Real estate agencies presenting vacant listings as staged, finished spaces

·       Furniture retailers integrating room visualization into the purchase decision

·       Game developers and simulation teams using architectural geometry as a production base

·       Homeowners planning renovations who need to see before they commit

What we have learned: the demand is not niche. Any industry that asks people to make decisions about space from abstract drawings has this visualization gap. AI 3D visualization closes it at a price and speed that changes what is economically viable for practitioners of every size.

We are a small team. We are not from interior design or real estate. We built this because the problem was real and the technology to solve it properly finally exists. The response from practitioners has validated the direction more quickly than we expected.
