🚀 Privacy Screen Sharing Tool – A safer way to share your screen

by•

I’ve been building and refining Privacy Screen Sharing Tool, now available on the Mac App Store.

The app mirrors your main screen into a separate window — that mirrored window is what you share in meetings. Your audience still thinks they’re seeing your screen, but you stay fully in control of what’s visible.

Here’s what you can do inside the mirrored window:

🔒 Selectively Hide App Windows

Hide any app or window from your main screen.

You still see and interact with them normally — but they never appear to your viewers.

🎯 Fake Cursor Overlay

Show a virtual cursor in the mirrored window instead of your real one.

It tracks your real cursor’s movement and automatically freezes when interacting with hidden apps, preventing accidental exposure.

🔕 Hide Notifications & Notification Center (Available Dec 4)

Toggle this on, and your viewers won’t see any notifications or the Notification Center —

but you still can, without enabling Do Not Disturb or modifying macOS settings.

🖥️ Choose Your External Display (Available Dec 4)

Send the mirrored window to any external monitor or AirPlay display of your choice and use it full-screen as your presentation surface.

⚡ Presets for One-Click Privacy (Available Dec 4)

Create presets to instantly hide a single app or groups of apps with a single toggle.

Here's a demo video or how the notifications can be hidden dynamically:
