I built Skeleton Draft to keep story structure connected to the writing

by

Hey, I’m Matt, the maker of Skeleton Draft. After 25 years of writing and refining my process, I built the tool I wanted for my own work.

An outline can tell you where a story is going. Keeping it connected to the scenes you’re actually writing is another challenge. Skeleton Draft grew out of how I work through that relationship between story and structure.

It helps you shape your story through acts, chapters, scenes, and beats, then write it as prose, a screenplay, or both side by side. You can move between the big picture and the writing without losing your place in either.

I’m bringing Skeleton Draft to the Product Hunt community and would love for you all to .

If you write novels or screenplays, where does the connection between your outline and your draft usually break down? I’d love to hear where your current tools get in the way.
