How do you decide if a YouTube idea is worth making?
One thing I kept running into while building UploadPack was how much effort creators can invest before they know whether an idea has much evidence behind it.
Research, competitors, positioning, titles, thumbnails — it can easily become hours of work before production even starts.
So I built UploadPack around a simple principle: make the reasoning visible before asking the creator to commit the time.
A Pack researches the opportunity, looks at channel and competitor context, develops four different packaging routes, and shows what the evidence supports — and what it doesn’t.
It typically processes in 1–5 minutes, but the final decision stays with the creator.
I’m curious how other makers and creators handle this today:
Do you validate content ideas before production, or mostly rely on experience and instinct?
I’d especially love to hear what signals you actually trust.
