Does YouTube's algorithm ruin your focus too?

by

I kept opening YouTube for one tutorial and closing the tab 40 minutes later having watched three unrelated videos I didn't plan on. The infinite feed is optimised for watch time, not for what I actually came there to do.

So I built , a free open-source PWA that strips recommendations, Shorts, and auto-play, leaving just the channels you deliberately follow. Nothing tracked, nothing monetised, no premium tier.

Curious how others here deal with this. Do you use extensions, screen-time limits, or just willpower? And if you've tried something similar, what worked for you?

If you like the idea, kindly .
