Building the Email Layer for the Agent Era

by•

Hi everyone,

I’m Sohail, and I’ve spent about 13 years in the corporate world. My path hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve worked as a crypto developer, in fintech, and in research and business development. Through all of it, one thing kept coming back: email marketing. Every role I had ended up touching it in some way, whether that was campaigns, CRMs, automations, or the servers behind them.

These days I run lifecycle marketing automation and CRM across several products. I’ve seen companies sign expensive multi-year contracts for email platforms and still struggle with messy data, slow workflows, and no clear view of which emails actually bring in revenue.

Why email, and why now

I don’t think email is going anywhere. It’s the one open, universal channel that every business and every person already has.

I also think that as AI agents take on more work, they’ll need a way to talk to people and to each other. I believe that channel will be email. It already handles identity, threads, and delivery, and every inbox can reach every other inbox.

That’s why I’m building Email Digit, an agent-first email platform: a layer where you, or your AI agent, can run email marketing from a prompt or your voice.

What it does today
🎙️ You describe a campaign, automation, or drip sequence, and Email Digit builds and sends it
📬 It sends from your own mailbox and domain
💬 Reply intelligence sorts, summarizes, and drafts responses to the people who write back
💳 Stripe is connected, so abandoned-cart emails and revenue attribution are built in
🤖 An MCP server lets Claude or any AI agent run your email for you

Coming next: WordPress and Shopify integrations, then WhatsApp and SMS.

The goal is to make email marketing usable by people who’ve never been email marketers.
