Building AppLensy: what makes a software comparison worth trusting?

Hi Product Hunt, Carlos from Power CM Software here. We are building AppLensy, a software catalogue with official sources and source-check dates.

The public version currently has four products: LibreOffice, Notion, Obsidian and Visual Studio Code. Visitors can filter listings and compare up to four products by details such as platform and pricing model. Product owners can submit information for editorial review.

One question we are working through is how to make the comparison useful while coverage is small. Showing a source and a check date gives readers something concrete to verify, but it does not replace checking the vendor documentation for their own requirements.
