Why I built this
I’m a builder from Lagos, and every product I’ve built that touched social data ran into the same wall: getting reliable public data from social platforms is painful. Official APIs are limited, gated, or expensive, and DIY scrapers break every time a platform changes. I kept rebuilding the same fragile scraping layer, so I turned it into a product.
Scraperize is a social media scraping API. You send a request, you get clean, structured JSON back, with no proxies or headless browsers to maintain.
What makes it different is the pricing. Most scraping APIs are priced in dollars for well-funded teams. Scraperize is priced in Naira, so builders in Nigeria can pay in their own currency. Every API call costs 1 credit. You get 100 free credits on signup to test the endpoints, and ₦25,000 (about $18.61) gets you 5,000 credits, which works out to under $4 per 1,000 calls.
What feedback would help most
Platform coverage: Which platforms or data types do you need that you can’t get reliably today?
Developer experience: How easy was it to get from signup to your first successful call? Where did the docs or response format slow you down?
Trust: What would you need to see before relying on it in production?
If you try it, tell me what you tried to scrape and what happened, including what failed.
