Building ScopeLedger — how do you currently track change orders?
Hey everyone launching ScopeLedger on Product Hunt this Tuesday, Aug 4, and wanted to open this up before then rather than just drop a link on launch day.
Quick context: ScopeLedger is a private workspace for specialty contractors (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, and similar trades) to catch changed work before the contractual notice deadline expires, keep evidence organized against each change instead of scattered across email and photos, and see open exposure across projects in one place.
I built the whole thing myself product, security architecture, and the go-to-market stack after digging into how much money contractors lose not because they lack a legal claim, but because nobody captured the fact pattern in time.
Genuinely curious from this community: if you've ever worked in or adjacent to construction/contracting how does your team currently track change orders and notice deadlines? Spreadsheet? Email folder? Nothing formal at all? I'd love to hear what's actually breaking down in practice before launch day.
