SceneProof - AI continuity supervisor for generative film

by
SceneProof watches your film, understands its visual and narrative context, and proposes what should stay consistent across shots. Creators confirm the canon; SceneProof then flags potential continuity issues with visual evidence and uncertainty instead of treating every difference as an error. Built for generative filmmaking, with whole-film understanding, a Reference Bible, continuity findings, and creator-controlled decisions.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 SceneProof came from a simple problem we kept running into while making generative film: generating a good shot is getting easier, but keeping a whole sequence coherent is still painfully manual. So we built an AI continuity supervisor. SceneProof watches the film, understands recurring characters, locations, props, devices and narrative cues, then proposes continuity anchors for the creator to confirm. From there it reviews the sequence and surfaces potential continuity issues with the evidence that led to them. The principle behind it is important to us: difference ≠ continuity error. SceneProof does not silently turn AI guesses into canon. The creator stays in control of what is intentional and what should remain consistent. For the launch, you can try the included Between the Line demo film directly in the browser. The project is also open source. We’d love feedback from filmmakers, AI-video creators, and anyone who has fought continuity drift across generated shots.
How did Astra change the scope or ambition of what you built?
GPT-6 Astra changed SceneProof from a continuity checker into a more ambitious film-understanding system. During development, I used Astra to help reason through architecture, implementation, testing and production hardening. Inside the product, Astra analyzes sampled frames together with transcript and project context to understand recurring characters, locations, props, devices and narrative cues before continuity is evaluated. That made it possible to build around a stronger principle: difference is not automatically an error. SceneProof can surface evidence, uncertainty and candidate continuity anchors while keeping the creator in control of canon. Astra therefore influenced both how SceneProof was built and what the product itself could become.
