I got tired of dead SaaS directories, so I built a pay-to-win blood sport.
Every founder submits their product to 100+ free directories on launch day. You spend hours filling out forms, you get zero traffic, and you never look at the site again. It is a fake ecosystem where everyone posts and nobody browses.
Founders pretend they don't care about vanity metrics and status, but they absolutely do. I decided to stop pretending and just weaponize it.
I just launched SaaSThrone. It is a directory that runs entirely on founder ego and financial friction, inspired by @Outbid.
There are no algorithms, no SEO waiting periods, and no upvote rings. If you want the #1 spot, you literally swipe your card and overthrow the current King.
If a competitor pays just $1 more than your bid, they steal your slot instantly, and our system publicly promotes you on X. If you bid too low, you are thrown into the "Peasant" tier where your logo is stripped of its color.
I am an 18-year-old dev bootstrapping out of Bangladesh. I did not build this to revolutionize the directory space. I built it to extract vanity marketing budgets from funded founders so I can support my family and finance my next real software business with my friend @mashraf_aiman.
I want to know where the Product Hunt community stands on this. Do you think transparent, pay-to-win marketing experiments are a valid way to bootstrap, or are you still relying on traditional free directories for early traction?
