I built a routine app because most productivity apps somehow make me less productive

So… while learning React Native, I decided to build a “small side project.”

Naturally, that turned into me obsessing over why every productivity app either:

  1. overwhelms me with 47 features I’ll never use, or

  2. makes me feel guilty by Wednesday.

I realized the problem wasn’t planning my routine.

The problem was actually following it once my brain entered “let’s reorganize the desk instead of doing literally anything important” mode.

So I built Roz.

It’s a simple routine tracker that guides you step by step with timers and smart notifications — instead of dumping a massive to-do list on your face first thing in the morning.

The whole idea is:
👉 less thinking
👉 less decision fatigue
👉 just do the next thing

Also, everything is stored locally on-device because honestly not every app needs to know my bedtime routine and hydration habits.

I’m not super active on Product Hunt, but I’d genuinely love feedback from people here:

• What makes you abandon productivity apps after a week?
• Do you prefer simple apps or highly customizable systems?
• What’s the most unrealistic routine you’ve ever planned for yourself? (mine probably involved waking up at 5am consistently 💀)

Would love your honest thoughts 🙌
