roughly - 11 daily guessing games. Are you better than the crowd?

Most people think an elephant is twice as tall as it really is. Plenty of them put the jaguar in Africa. roughly is 11 daily guessing games: where animals live, when things happened, how big, how far, how expensive. Drag, pin or draw your guess, then see the real answer and where everyone else landed. New rounds every day, free, no account. Open a room and play live with friends or your stream.

Hey Product Hunt, Esteban here. I'm 20, still in school in Switzerland, and I've been building roughly on my own since September.

What surprised me most: the players are more interesting than the answers. 184 of them sized the Hindenburg next to a shark. Typical guess, 46 metres. It was 245. I turned that into a chart for r/dataisbeautiful last Sunday and it got 250,000 views in a day. That day roughly had 2,340 players. The day before, 536.

So now I dig through the guesses every week for the next weird one.

The other thing I'm trying is streamers. I've emailed about 1,400 of them, and I hang out in small streams and suggest it in chat. When someone opens a multiplayer room on stream I get a ping, grab the VOD, cut clips and send them back so they have something to post. No idea yet if that snowballs. Ask me in a month.

214,000 guesses in the first four weeks. Play one round and tell me how far off you were.
