RocketDrop - A shared clipboard and file drop for any two computers

by
Open RocketDrop on two computers and pair with a six digit code. Move clipboard text and files without installing anything or making an account. Optional Smart Handoff uses GPT-6 Astra to turn reviewed project context into a concise summary for the other computer. Bring your own OpenAI API key; clipboard and file transfer need no key.

I built RocketDrop because I was setting up an AI agent between a Mac and Linux machine and kept emailing Bash commands and files to myself. A shared clipboard came first, then File Drop. This launch adds Smart Handoff: choose a project folder, review the filtered text, and let GPT-6 Astra summarize the context so you can continue on the other computer. It uses your own OpenAI API key only when you choose to run it. No install or account for the core tools. Just pair, copy, drop, and lock when you are done. I would love to hear where moving between computers breaks your flow.
What became possible in your product with Astra that was not practical before?
RocketDrop previously moved clipboard text and files, leaving the developer to explain the work again on the other computer. Smart Handoff uses GPT-6 Astra to turn reviewed project text into a compact summary of the task, important files, environment, and next step. The summary and filtered context travel together to the paired computer. Users choose when to run it and bring their own OpenAI API key. This adds context to a transfer without turning RocketDrop into a coding agent. We are not claiming that other models cannot do this.
