Roadmap beta - Plan projects and manage resources with ease.

@dbbrandt Hey Dan, Roadmap is a visual project planning tool that automates your team scheduling work so you don't have to do the work twice. You can simply plan any type of project in any size by just drag and drop to get the birds eye overview of all your projects and quickly get your team schedules to manage their workload. Roadmap is also super flexible when it comes to adjusting your plans. Once priorities change Roadmap gives you a summary of all the changes by comparing the estimates with the actual times and how the changes reflect on the plan overall, something Kanban boards fail to deliver.

@farzadban Frazad, thanks for the reply. I have been working with different tools for over 20 years. Pretty much all of them. People definitely need to do projects where they estimate the time. In agile projects you only estimate the points (which could loosely translate to time). E.g. 1 = < day, 2 ~ day, 3 ~ 1-3 days etc. You generally only plan a single sprint (e.g. 1 week or 1 month) and put the other tasks in the back log (a prioritized list of todo's). Waterfall projects try to plan the entire thing out. Kanban has it's problems as you point out. It's not good at tracking actual vs. plan. If you plan to integrate with Jira or Trello, I think you need to think about how this could dove tail with an agile approach. I hope this is helpful. For short waterfall projects, this look great. @_kvnw Hi Kevin, happy to hear that. We are currently prioritising features over mobile apps. Once we've made a bit more progress on those, we are going to start working on bringing Roadmap to other platforms like Mac, iOS and Android.

With Roadmap you are able to view your entire roadmap in a birds eye view, zoom in to view the details and switch to Teams to view your teams members workload.

@5orm On Roadmap, you can show/hide weekends in your schedules so you can start your week any day as you wish. That being said, we are currently working on a better solution for this and hoping to release it very soon.

@victoryn Hey Victory, glad you mentioned Forecast. We were actually using Forecast among some other tools to plan our projects and manage our team schedules. What we found frustrating with Forecast was the functionalities around planning a project. We wanted a simple tool to plan projects in any size and share it with our team members and other stakeholders to better understand the plan we are taking, how we are prioritising the work and what we are working towards and flexible enough once prioritise change and how that effects the entire roadmap of our projects so we designed Roadmap to scratch our own itch. In short, Forecast is a simple team scheduling app that lacks the project planning part.

@farzadban Cheers! While it might not be suitable for my org right-now, Roadmap does look very appealing for some upcoming side projects of mine. Are there any plans for JIRA and/or LDAP integration?

@victoryn Happy to hear that Victory. We are starting our integrations with Trello and later Jira and Asana. We aiming to push Trello integration in just 2 weeks and soon after that Jira and Asana.
