I'm a big fan of Zilore, but unfortunately their DNS service is shutting down in July this year. I couldn't find any good alternatives that make georouting and failover simple, so I decided to build my own. I built RoachDNS for fun and for myself to use - I'm a nerd. I run a couple of SAAS businesses with multiple servers around the world. I route traffic to different servers depending on location (Georouting), and I want to be able to take a server offline and have traffic automatically re-directed to another (Failover). Since I built it for myself I thought hey why not let others use it? Feel free to host 1 domain with georouting and failover completely for FREE !
