Looking for better user feedback? Here’s what I’m building with Retour

by

Hey PH 👋

As a solo founder, the hardest thing for me hasn’t been coding — it’s getting honest, actionable user feedback without adding more friction for users.

So I’ve been building Retour, a lightweight feedback component you can drop into any site or SaaS. Not a widget, not a big dashboard — just a clean component teams like Vercel/Supabase engineers use internally.

A few things it solves:

  • Users leave feedback without breaking flow (component sits inside your UI)

  • Slack notifications — instant alerts when someone submits

  • AI emotion detection — frustration, delight, confusion, urgency

  • AI summaries — quick actionable insights instead of long paragraphs

  • Customizable UI — fields, theme, rating, labels

  • Secure by default — rate limits + spam protection

I built it because I was tired of guessing what users wanted.
If you’re a founder trying to understand your users faster, would love your thoughts on Retour — what’s missing, what’s useful, or what you’d improve.

Happy to share more if anyone here is also building in the feedback space 🚀
